Never fear wearing white again! From coffee to wine to salad dressing and even sweat are no match for The Unstainable™ White Shirt.
We understand the beauty of the perfect white shirt. For three years since our company’s launch, that has been our focus. We know women everywhere love an elegant white silk blouse, but we also know (first-hand in many cases!) the fear of actually wearing it. Between making breakfast for the kids and rushing to get to work, it is hard to commit to wearing a white shirt during the day in the life of a modern woman— but not anymore. We are launching a shirt that truly meets all of your needs: it’s beautiful, affordable, fit to flatter a woman’s body, washable, and actually wearable in your everyday life: The Unstainable™ White Shirt.
We created the Unstainable™ shirt using nanotechnology, and it repels virtually any water-based or oil-based liquid spill, including perspiration, which evaporates before even touching the fabric. Using a proprietary garment finish that works at the molecular level, the finish zeros in on fabric fibers using tiny ‘whiskers’ that are 100,000 times smaller than a grain of sand. The treatment keeps water and oil-based liquids suspended above the fabric, never allowing stains to touch the silky fibers. Think about how a flower repels the morning dew, the water just beads up and slides right off the surface. Using this same process found in nature, the Unstainable™ treatment attaches to each and every shirt fiber—resulting in incredible resistance to stains.
It is so tiny that you can’t touch it and you can’t see it — not even with a magnifying glass. In fact, our tiny Unstainable™ fibers are 100,000 times smaller than a grain of sand.
Our Unstainable™ treatment has been tested using AATCC standards and includes raw materials that can be derived from renewable, farm-grown sources. The finish is applied at the molecular level allowing complete breathability of the fabric; the Unstainable™ fibers are smaller than bacteria, so they don’t clog the fabric weave. This means 100% stain repellency without changing the feel or comfort of our signature Crepe de Chine and modal/cotton fabrics.
Our team has been diligently working together for a year to bring this product to life. We have a diverse set of skills and backgrounds in retail, supply chain management, marketing, logistics, chemical science, and design. Over the past three years, we have designed, manufactured, sold, and shipped over 25,000 shirts to customers all over the world. We are confident we can do the same with the Unstainable™ shirt.
We have spent over a year developing this product and every piece is in place to begin production immediately after our Kickstarter ends.
To ensure that you get your rewards on time, we have limited them to something that we know how to make: shirts! No stickers, bookmarks, or fancy wallpapers — just beautiful Unstainable™ blouses and tees.
Elizabeth & Clarke’s Unstainable™ shirts are machine-washable and dryer-safe, which means no more expensive and inconvenient trips to the dry cleaner. And even with regular washing, your shirts will remain Unstainable™ for the life of the fabric.
Manufacturing: We have been working with the same mills and factory for over two years. We have a strong working relationship with them, and they have never shipped an order late to us during our entire relationship. However, they have a maximum capacity of 15,000 blouses and 20,000 tees during a normal production cycle of 60-90 days. If we receive orders beyond this amount, then it will take an additional 60-90 days to produce any remaining orders.
Air Freight: Once the shirts are completed, we will air freight them into the United States in late August. This is an off-peak time of the year for incoming freight into the US, so we do not anticipate any issues. However, if there are poor weather conditions or a transportation strike of any kind, it could delay the arrival of the freight.
Fulfillment: We have been working with our fulfillment partner, iD Commerce, for one year. They have the ability to ship up to 3,000 Unstainable orders each week. However, because of the high-touch nature of pick, pack and fulfillment, there are typically a very small percentage (less than 0.3%) of errors. For example, maybe you ordered a size 4 but you accidentally received a size 14. We will do our absolute best to fix any fulfillment errors (at our cost), but please be aware that they may occur.
Shipping: We will ship all orders via USPS Priority Mail or USPS Priority International, depending on destination. While we typically do not have many issues with USPS, please be aware that they do occur at a low rate. About 1% of orders typically have an error or issue — either on behalf of the receiver (bad address, moved, etc.) or on behalf of the shipper (package lost, destroyed in transit, etc.) We will insure all packages on your behalf and we will purchase postage that includes a tracking number to help resolve any issues that may occur. Please note however, once a package has left our warehouse, we no longer have control over it. In the rare case where a package is lost, stolen, or destroyed, we will file an insurance claim with the USPS on your behalf, but we will not cover the cost of replacement.
