Gumbo Goddess Restaurant

Gumbo Goddess is a creole Soul food booth at The Vancouver Farmers Market we have been there for 8 amazing seasons, we do large events and catering. Our clientele continues to expand and so does our menu. Our customers always ask when will we have a restaurant. After watcing the business grow and expierencing things without a space we are finally ready for a home base. A place for all our wonderful loyal and greatly supportive customers who deserve a great creole, and soul food with great customer service and chefs who enjoy makin that tummy happy. We thought we found a home on 7th and washington, but the morning of lease signing I received an email stating the owner signed a 10 yr lease with a friend. We were a bit takin back but realize that might have been the right space. After looking and almost settling on an empty space downtown, we stumbled upon a space with almost everything we need to get started right away. After configuring numbers and negotiating with the current tenants we have decided on a whole new concept which would cost way less money, incur way less risks and everyone would have much more fun. This concept would allow all you Goddess fans to get a taste of Chefs Joycelyn complete plethora of cuisines. Stay tuned we are tweaking our business plan now and will have more information soon. The ultimate goal is to bring you the best of Chef Joycelyn Kelly in all her Goddess cuisines. I Chef Joycelyn Kelly am dedicated to bringing true soul and Southern hospitality to the Vancouver Community in the most unique and deliciously entertaining way.
Look forward to Fried Chicken,Crawfish Etouffee, Shrimp Po’Boys, Chicken Fried Steak, real Biscuits and gravy and much more we are Creole Soul Baby.
