About this project
Original Full-Length Travel Mirror
Planning a trip, whether for business or pleasure, often brings the inevitable nightmare of deciding what to pack to help you look and feel your best, but no longer! Designed with the fashion-conscious traveller in mind, the multi-award winning, travel-safe Magic Mirror (£35 /magicmirroruk.com) can be used in three different ways to help solve those getting-ready dilemmas from every angle, no matter where you are.
Voted No.1 Festival Gizmo by Cosmopolitan last summer, and with celebrity fans including Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac and fashion model Ruth Crilly, Magic Mirror is fast becoming a travel/beauty must-have.
Use It Three Ways
Magic Mirror can be folded into three different positions so you can get ready anywhere.
Open Magic Mirror completely and you have an instant full-length mirror, so you can give your outfit the once-over no matter where you are.
Stand Magic Mirror on its side in Vanity position so you can check your hair from every angle.
No more queuing for the mirror! In Pyramid position, Magic Mirror can be used by two people at the same time – freestanding, with the perfect angle for applying make-up.
Above: Festival Edition
Magic Mirror is a non-glass, highly reflective mirror, making it easy to transport and festival friendly.
Complete with D-ring and magnetic snap fastener for easy hang-up and pack-down.
Dimensions in full-length position not including strap & D-ring:
Length 85.5cm x Width 23.5cm
Weight (can vary slightly): Just under 1KG

Time is certainly not on our side! When we were invited to trade at Pulse Olympia we thought it would be easy to get a loan to grow the business, especially with all the positive attention the product has received, however it’s been more tricky than we thought (basically, I don’t own a house as back up!). Now it’s a race against the clock to get everything we need for the show; every pledge gets us one step closer, so thank you so much to everyone who can help or even just shares this project to get the word out there. Here’s how quickly things are happening:
We would like to thank everybody for supporting us here at Magic Mirror. And when I say ‘us’ I mean, me and the mirror; I’m a one-woman show at the moment and not to mention a new mum! However, I haven’t done this entirely alone – a huge shoutout to my creative team of freelancers who’ve pulled everything out of the bag to get us to this point, and continuing support from one of the greatest and most creative cities, BRISTOL. And to you: with all your amazing support I will make it to the trade show and we can put Magic Mirror in the shops ♡♡♡.
A very special thank you to our photographer and film maker Jack Offord.

Risks and challenges
So far the biggest challenges were engineering the product for smooth, more cost effective manufacture, getting the product quality and finish to a higher standard and finding the financial backing to get the product up and selling.
We’ve been working extremely hard over the last 12 months to figure these things out. With the support of the Engineering Innovation Network and the Manufacturing Advisory Service, working closely with Camshaft Ltd we have succeeded in cutting our manufacturing time whilst upping the quality of the finished product.
Magic Mirror is now ready to present new designs at trade prices to the shops and online stores and we are very proud to say that we are able to continue to manufacture in Bristol (UK), ensuring that the local economy benefits and high quality standards are met.
